Baby Monitor 6800 app lost photos

I have the 6800 monitor with app on my phone.

I got a new phone and when I signed into this app again everything from the gallery has been lost 😞

Are these not backed up on the account?

pretty devastated at the moment as most photos I didn’t save them

Any help appreciated

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.

This is just a customer to customer help forum, everyone here, including myself, are just customers.

Try the product helpdesk, but I would expect the photos would have been stored within the phone itself, so you should be able to recover them from there.

wasn't a backup option on my phone for the app.

I don`t know. Possible stored in the normal locations for photos on your old phone, it would be unusual if it was just stored within the app.

Assuming you have the same type of phone, then take a couple of pictures and see where they go to on your new phone. Then look at that same location on your old phone.

Once you have located them, it should be possible to copy them over to a PC, or send them using Bluetooth.

no you have to save the photos from the app to be stored in your normal phone photos.

which I didn’t save them all.

There are no product forums for BT branded products, only the product helpdesk. They may be able to tell you where the photos are stored.

Have you tried re-installing the app on your old phone, to see if you can access the photos that way, as they may be stored at another location within the phone, and the app may allow access to them?

This forum is for BT Retail phone and broadband customers, who have problems with their phone or broadband.

The BT Devices board is under the broadband category, and deals with things like broadband extenders and other broadband accessories.

nope that deletes all the data (gallery) on the app when you reinstall it

Hey, no I didn’t 😞 seems no way the app gallery is backed up its ridiculous 😞

need to phone them I think and ask, I haven’t got round to that yet x

Oh that’s terrible. I hope there is… seems very odd when everything on my phone was completely backed up.
Will share if I get anywhere with it.

Yeah its crazy isn’t it. Should change the app really so it’s backed up too.

@GeorgiaK Hey, i phoned the helpline (number on camera) there is no way to get them back 😥😥 so unless they were all saved to your phone they are lost now.

such a bad design! I had loads when my baby was newborn😥

This is an awful piece of design, I had to reinstall the camera as recommended in some troubleshooting on this forum and we have lost all the pictures. Surely they should be associated to the phone rather than the camera.
