New baby monitor 6000 parent unit not linking to cameras

I’ve got a new baby monitor 6000 parent unit (as the connection melted into our old one!) but I’m having trouble linking it to the two cameras we have always used. Everything is plugged in and on, I am pressing the link button on the back of the cameras but nothing is happening.

Are you selecting the Plus symbol on the parent unit, steps are as follows:

While the Parent unit is in camera viewing mode, press MENU
Select the Camera + icon
Use the + UP or - DOWN buttons to assign a number to the camera
Press OK to confirm
Hold the LINK button on the back of the camera until it beeps and the camera's image appears on the screen

Thank you. On the Camera+ icon the 1 is already ticked and it won’t let me select it or another number. Maybe, as it’s a refurbished model, it’s already linked to another camera? Is there a way to reset it?

You can minus out the camera cant you?

Maybe you need to minus out the camera associated with number 1 first? See image there, whilst on camera 1 hit the minus and see if it boots it off allowing you to plus a new one.

That is odd though because we have two cameras and it doesnt matter if the 1st one is on we can still use the second and add additional.
