Dropped my BT phone service after some 40 years as no one apart from scammers ever calls.

I've seen the EE return address for Broadband equipment but does anyone know where I can return BT phone handsets which are less than two years old? These are the type that sync with the hub on a fibre service.

Regards Jeremy

If its equipment that has been sent to you as part of your service, the best way is to contact BT for a returns kit so you can send back free of charge. When you drop it at the post office you will get tracking (Keep hold of this until BT advise they have the kit back)

The full details is on this link - you can also request the returns kit online from your myBT account:
How to return and recycle your BT equipment for free | BT Help

Just take them to an EE store, they should have a bin or similar, for recycled items.

Have you been asked to return them, as I doubt very much that BT would want them back, as they are no longer issued for free?

Hi there tried this and also a general search for BT and return equipment but unfortunately I wonder if the website has been updated asi can find no returns process, just the Help page that tells you what you should do. I'll try phoning my local EE stoare and see what they advise. Thanks for the info tho.

You can always make a note of the serial numbers, then if you are asked, you can say they were returned to the store, and quote the serial numbers.

I am sure one of the EE store people will be able to advise, as all shops that sell electrical items, have to provide re-cycling facilities.

I've never heard of BT asking for them back, but I'd be inclined to pop them in a drawer for a month or so to be sure. Then gift them to friends or family to use.

Has BT actually asked for the return of these phones? If not, then I wouldn't go to any trouble to find out how to return them. Just keep them for a month or two until you're sure BT won't ask for them, and then dispose of them yourself, or give them away.
