I'm not using the SH2, so someone may need to confirm this. On some router OSs, if a device sets its own name, you can't then name another device to that name in the router UI. Not so much a bug as a niggle!

The home hub2 will not let me rename devices connected to the network. Possible bug as it says error ip conflict however that is incorrect.

Als cannot remove devices that have a static ip the router thinks its still connected however its no longer on the network

Any HDD (format as ex-fat) connected to any router becomes usb1. Its name cannot be edited. To then access it on a Mac you need a finder window and in the Menu select GO and then Connect to Server. You will have two options to connect - user or guest. Choose guest as the user option requires a password which is not available, The guest option allows read/write.

Factory reset the hub using the recessed button. Make sure you backup your contacts first if you have Digital Voice.
