Number of discs

Hi, the whole home app won't allow me to run more that 6 discs; is there a way around this?

Try logging on via a web browser to see if it will allow you to set up the maximum number of discs which is eight.

Make sure you're connected to your Whole Home Wi-Fi network
If you have Whole Home Wi-Fi, enter http://mybtdevice.home in your internet browser address field
If you have Whole Home Wi-Fi 6, Premium or Mini Whole Home Wi-Fi, enter http://btwhole.home in your internet browser address field
Enter your Admin password, then click Login. (The Admin password is printed on the back of the disc connected to your hub or router, or on the wireless settings card located there)

Right, the BT Whole Home Hun system will alert you that you have exceeded the limit of six discs when you try to connect a seventh disc (or eight).

so connect your additional disc to an already working disc via intranet cable (do not switch working disc off), power up the new disc and then the the home hub app. The warning message of too many discs will display….leave it on and wait.

Within about ten or so minutes the seventh disc will suddenly appear on your list of discs on the app. Just need to name it then remove the intranet cable and locate to tour chosen location.

it does work, I’ve just done it, no more warning messages and works perfectly as a seventh disc location.

I understand that the real maximum is eight discs. Going to try that soon.

But still very relevant to those of us still looking to expand and so visit these old posts to see if there was a solution found, like I did today before solving it myself.

Excellent. Just did it and I now have 7 discs running. Thank you very much indeed for picking up this old thread and sharing the solution.
