I have joined BT since 2021 (full fibre 100) and upgrade to EE (full fibre 500) today. But I still use the old BT Hub. Will BT send me the new device after my upgrading the plan ?

If you have moved to EE you need to ask them, BT won't send you anything.

"if you already have a BT SH2 then there is no need for a new router"

That's true, the BT SH2 will work just fine with an EE service. But the EE version of the SH2 is allegedly technically superior, putting out WiFi6 rather than WiFi5.
So, if your contract is now with EE, you should be entitled to an EE router. If one isn't sent to you automatically (which is what normally happens) then you need to contact EE and request one.
