Ah thanks, yes I have just checked and the mac address matches that of the home hub.

BT Smart Hub 2 - Unknown Ethernet Device Unremovable.

Hi,

For a few months now I have had an unknown ethernet device showing as connected to Port 2 of my Hub when nothing is using the port, if I plug another ethernet device in it seems to work and shows up in Hub Manager that the port has two connections inc this odd one.

I'm unsure why this device which I have named unknown is stuck against Port 2 and the MAC address doesn't ring a bell, it seems to think it has a static IP which is blank and I think it is just a bug where a trace of an old record has got stuck and remains in Hub Manager, has anyone got any ideas or thought on this as it can't be removed?

Ideally I don't want to have to factory reset the hub as it's configured for multiple devices.

Thanks.

James

It's probably the hub itself showing for some bizarre reason. It's an Arcadiayan device.

Just ignore it, the device list on the hub is a complete shambles and usually bears no resemblance to reality in any case.
