Ordered a BT Wi-Fi Disc, got an EE box

I’ve just upgraded from a basic BT broadband package to a full fibre one with included whole home wifi disc. What’s arrived in the post today is a white EE box that looks like a small router - is this just the EE version of the WiFi disc now?
Also, bit weird but it comes with a separate stand piece that definitely doesn’t fit, it’s about a cm to small to fit on the box

Anyone have any experience with either of these issues?

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community!

The EE branded Smart WiFi is an identical device to the BT Complete WiFi discs but with different casing. This should work absolutely fine if you have a BT Smart Hub 2.

The stand should clip straight in to this, but if you think this may be faulty then I would definitely recommend reporting this to our technical team so we can look over your options.

Thanks for your answer, I have an EE smart hub. I assume that’ll work too?

The stand definitely doesn’t fit. I’ll need to report that to the technical team, but your link doesn’t work, can you send again please?
