In theory the DV adapter is simply a portable phone socket which should have the same properties as a master socket. However, anecdotally it doesn't appear to be as well specified as the direct green socket at the rear of the hub.

Does the BT Digital Voice Adapter provide an interface equivalent to the Master Socket phone port

From other topics it appears that the telephone port on the Smart Hub 2 is functionally equivalent to the telephone port on a Master Socket. This should mean that anything that worked when plugged into a Master Socket should work if plugged in to the telephone port on the Hub.

Sometimes though equipment might be close to the old Master Socket but not the new Smart Hub 2 and laying wiring between the may not be practical.

That raises the question of whether or not the BT Digital Voice Adapter Phone Range Extender also provides a connection equivalent to a Master Socket? In other words if equipment that previously worked when plugged into a Master Socket is plugged into the adapter will it still work?
