Smart Hub 2 - Factory Reset

I am frequently having to perform a soft re-set as my Hub looses the internet and wifi.

I have a fair number of items linked to the Hub - smart switches/light bulbs/Hive/Ring alarm etc.

I have retained the original settings/passwords on the hub but am uncertain that if i do a Factory re-set to clear things out, will I be faced with the task of resetting each individual item or will the same passwords being held allow automatic connection as with a soft reset?

Any guidance appreciated.

Regards

if you decide to do a factory reset then hub will revert to how it was when your received it with SSID and password as shown on back of hub. after your reset you need to go to hub manager preferably with ethernet cable and change the hub SSID and wifi password back to the one you were using. your devices should then connect automatically

It is possible to export the configuration settings and then reimport them after the reset. Of course, there is a small possibility you may reimport the problem that way but unlikely.

Take a look at Advanced > System > Back up/Restore
