Emails disappear after 24 hours

My emails have suddenly started going into the bin after 24 hours , this has never happened before and I havent altered any settings

Any suggestions how to stop this

How are you accessing your emails, is it on a web browser (webmail) or using an email client or email app?

Im using an app on my android phone but its the same if I log in online. They all go into my bin

Check the settings in the app. It may be deleting them after a set time.

Thanks. I've e checked but there are no options to do this and no reason for this just to happen

As regards your comment "no reason for this just to happen " there is obviously a reason just that you do not as yet know what the reason is otherwise it would not be happening.

So in an attempt to find the reason there are things to check because it could be that your email account has been hacked or that somebody that has access to your email account whether authorised or not has changed the settings.

Have you checked on BT webmail to see if any "Rules" have been set up on your email account.

I have checked in my settings and nowhere does it have an option to delete or send to bin after 24 hours

That is the reason I have posted on here , I thought l would get some hints or tips perhaps from knowledgeable people ,maybe even someone from BT , not people stating the bleedin obvious!!

This is a BT residential customer to customer forum. Your post does not go to BT. The only BT staff are the forum moderators who do not necessarily read all the posts.

As you obviously think that the forum users have mystical mind reading skills so that they already know what you have checked and as I am not one of those "knowledgeable people" or "someone from BT" I will happily leave your thread and will look forward to seeing what those "knowledgeable people" or "someone from BT" come up with without asking questions to try and diagnose your problem or in your words "stating the bleedin obvious!!"

My apologies. I thought it was monitored by BT and they would offer some sort of solution , no offence meant
