    <description>&lt;P&gt;Just make sure you have an RJ45 tester to check your terminations are all good when you make up the cable and check the WAN speed is 1000Mbps once you do it.&lt;BR /&gt;I have cat6 and it's a PITA to terminate with the multi type connectors I have and much less flexible, I suspect Armoured/External could be worse&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Appalling Full Fibre 900 slow 50MBS</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Not sure if I'm in right place for this one .&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I got 900 Full Installed just before xmas . Couldn't wait to get some decent speeds . Not been the case at all.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So as it stands my setup is this . ( others tested also on different devices )&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;PC 1gb ethernet port gaming PC&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1gb TP links powerline adapters with cat 6 cables ( all new )&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Speeds will vary from 26mbs to sometimes just over 100mbs DL upload will be about 4mbs to 10mbs&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But average about 50 - 60 mbs .&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Port is accepting 1gb&amp;nbsp; and connection shows 1gb . everything is on 1gb and works no issues .&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So why am i only getting such slow speeds which when I was on normal BB 76mbs i was getting more speeds.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have also tested direct to router with laptop hard wired and get anything from 50 mbs to over 200mbs . I do expect faster speeds when direct connection to router but im not even getting half the guaranteed this way .&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bt support says im getting 920 to hub which ive tested on app and i am But anything coming out hub is no where even close .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;WIFI can be slightly better and had over 300 mbs but again not often thats at that speed&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can anyone offer any suggestions on this TIA&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Try switching off Smart Set up on the Hub.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If that doesn't work try a factory reset of the hub (and again disable Smart Set Up).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Something isn't right as you say but the above measures often sort things out.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Already turned off and also did reset several times , Upgraded all cables and powerline adapters to ensure im not losing anything .. But my old 76mbs broadband was faster</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You would have to set up a PPPOE session to go direct to the ONT. If that means nothing to you, best not to try it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For your trials direct to the Hub, were there no other connections, apart from ONT to Hub WAN port by ethernet and Hub Lan to computer by ethernet?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Otherwise, it seems the Hub is duff.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Nothing else connected apart from my hive system as only person at home currently . I can look into&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;PPPOE session im tech savvy but this has baffled me even wifi is not great next to the device. Ive tried to eliminate everything I can by upgrading all my hardware and has been terrible&amp;nbsp;since day one.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Also tried without Hive and same results so all that was connected&amp;nbsp;at that test was the laptop direct to ethernet .&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How do you have the ONT connected to the Smart Hub ?&lt;BR /&gt;If this is via Powerline adapters, I would suggest you take them out of the equation.&lt;BR /&gt;Connect the hub directly to the ONT and check on the Hub menu in Home &amp;gt; Status that the WAN Link Speed shows as 1000Mbps.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then do a test and see how you get on.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.bt.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/26949"&gt;@pippincp&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; That's not quite right&lt;BR /&gt;I have my own internal ethernet cabling connected between the ONT and hub and it had a faulty pair, (gig needs all 4x pairs) the WAN speed showed as 100Mbps&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.bt.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/298201"&gt;@derekg30&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;I've had sporadic issues with powerline adapters before, so If you take the powerlines out of the equation and still have issues, with your laptop into the hub, let us know the results.&lt;BR /&gt;I know it's a pain, but the best way to prove the issue further&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Update guys 2 issues resolved&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1 had a dodgy router as wasnt pulling anything close to the speeds expected even hard wired direct to router&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Engineer came out tested and resolved and hitting over 1gb now on most occasions using the ethernet .&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Wifi is pulling anything from 300 to 470mbs&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Powerlines been took out completely now as useless and causing more issues even though they are all 1gb and cat 7 cables .&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Run a 20m ethernet to pc and BOOM works as it should ,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So as it stands im now going run an armored cable from the hub around the outside of the house to a location where pc is located in the hope i get speeds as i have seen in tests .&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
