Fibre rollout, activation time

Hi BT Community,

Our building had engineers round today for the fibre rollout and I now have a lovely looking fibre box above my front door.

I'm guessing the local network needs to be completed before the service is active... Is there anywhere I can get indications on timescales for this? I signed up for BT fibre notifications but nothing has come through so far.

Sounds like you live in an MDU.

It’s definitely Openreach Building it as they have been dragging their heels when it comes to MDU’s.

CityFibre and Hyperoptic have been leading the way when it comes to MDU’s.

Hyperoptic have already pinched 250,000 Subscribers from Openreach.
