What type of Hub is required for the Full Fibre 1 package - broadband only - no phone line

If you mean third party router, any with a WAN port that supports PPPoE (which will be virtually every router)

If you mean which BT hub, the Smart Hub2 or a Hub4 with a red WAN port.

I have no idea

I have referred a friend and they have picked this package, just something simple

When you select this package on the BT site, you have to select a hub

Some mention modems

They only want broadband, no phone line, no extras

I don't think you do, you will be supplied a Smart Hub2

Are you sure its the BT site you are looking at, with full fibre a fibre modem (ONT) will be fitted as part of the installation

They only want broadband, no phone line, no extras

Same hub and ONT supplied regardless

Are you sure it is full fibre and not just fibre 1? Either way BT will supply the hub, you won't get a choice. No ONT will be fitted for Fibre 1 as it is delivered from the green cabinet via the normal copper phone line.
