Thanks for the replies, I just left it alone and it did come back on within the hour of posting here.

There was some thunder and lightning around the time it went off so I presume it may just be weather related. Hopefully that's it anyway, as I used to have very frequent drops on FTTC, and I am hoping the FTTP install will have resolved that for the most part.

FTTP - Red LOS light - what should I do?

Had FTTP since 4th Aug and it’s been rock solid until this evening.

First noticed the SH2 flashing purple and lastly moved a unit out the way to get a good view of the Openreach modem. This is displaying a solid red LOS light - which I understand to stand for Loss of Service.

The FTTP installers never mentioned what to do should an issue arise. Should I just turn it off and on? Or does the LOS light mean there’s a fault outside with the BT/Openreach network?

Most likely an external fault, so report it to BT on 0800 800 150.
