My broadband has been down since yesterday morning, with no sign of it being fixed and no date when it will be fixed - this is causing major problems in our household- any ideas.

BT and Openreach are on strike today so I would not expect any fixes to be forth coming until at least tomorrow.

Did you report your fault yesterday? Did you check if there was an overall outage in your area so not just you

If the fault only occurred yesterday, you have rather unrealistic expectations that it would be fixed by today even if the engineers weren't on strike.

BB loss isn't treated with the same priority as Electricity or Water supply but then having nether of those could be life threatening whereas loss of internet is inconvenient.
