    <description>&lt;P&gt;I've seen others report similar things, I started with the 500mb service, was offered the 1gb service for a reasable additional fee, but my upload speed remains at 50mb.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have restarted all the equipment, and I am using the btwholesale speed tester and I am using an ethernet cable directly to the router, and I go have a gigabit ethernet card.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I made the mistake of calling the 'tech support' helpline, and was advised to renew my contract which shoulod reset the flags and give me full upload speed - but now that order is complete nothing has changed (suprise suprise!).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Others seem to have had success posting their exact same scenario here so I'm giving this a go first.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yours hopefully,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Multiroom&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>1gb service not getting full upload speed</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I had the hub connected over the weekend, not for 72 hours though. And Now I'm back to third party hardware, bar the fibre Huwaii modem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As for reintroducing the hub, it is a little inconvenient as I run a full Ubiquiti system throughout the property with multiple connections in and out throughout the day, and VPNs through to several offices I provide support for.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there any other way to overcome this? At a push I could setup a bunch of rules on the hub to bodge things for a few days, but I'd prefer not to if it wasn't essential.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your reply.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Its just that if you had needed a better connection with a less contended connection, and a better SLA, then a BT Business connection may be more suitable.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Ah, no - there's no urgency to this, I just want to get it sorted. Not least of all so that I can stream my own UHD movie library without having to transcode. I rip all of my movies at the highest bitrate, some of them are 80Mbps plus and with the 55Mbps limit that can't happen.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;AFAIK, the 50Mb upload limit is a quirk of some SH2’s , effectively leaving the ‘factory’ with a 50Mb limit on the upload , &amp;nbsp;leaving it connected for a while ( should you be getting 50Mb instead of 110 ) allows a firmware update to remove limit , (should the limit exist) , leaving the SH2 for a while isn’t anything to do with changing or updating your ‘profile’ , so if you are using a third party router that is compatible with the upload speed available, you should get the higher upload 110Mb upload immediately.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If &amp;nbsp;service has been correctly set up ( and if your are getting 900Mb download, that seems likely , as the only profile with 110Mb upload is the 900Mb download profile) , &amp;nbsp;the 72 hour wait is irrelevant, your third party router obviously won’t be getting a firmware update from ‘BT’ , but is this third party router capable or correctly set up ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Post your own router stats , or connect to the ONT with a wired PC , set up a PPPoE session and run a speed test from the PC , that eliminates the router ( BT or your own ) completely, obviously you could leave the SH2 &amp;nbsp;connected, hopefully its firmware is updated and it delivers 110Mb upload , proving the service is delivered as expected, if you do this and don’t get the firmware update automatically, it can be ‘pushed’ onto the device, but only after giving the ‘automated’ update a chance.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

The hardware is capable of 1000Mbps up/down (Ubiquiti USG Pro 4) so as you say this sounds like keeping the BT router connected my be irrelevant.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.bt.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/211700"&gt;@JohnC2&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;Just in case you needed to know.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
