Does openreach require you to use a router with a broadcom chip only?

Does this router compatible with openreach Asus DSL-ax82u

Also do we need to have bitswap on on third party routers?

I have been told by other vdsl gurus that openreach expect broadcomchips which is why broadcomchips are in all vdsl routers such as sky and bt.

Openreach still have ECI/ lantiq cabs is service and they usually pair up slightly better with a lantiq modem however.... The difference is minimal slightly lower error rates with older BT home hubs like the 5a.

You won't likely notice the difference, unless you watch the DSL link stats like a hawk.
