At various times during the day the connection will drop for 30secs then come back on.

Hub flashes purple, then orange then back to blue. All in the space of 30secs.

I've done the obvious checks etc but it's still happening

14/11/2023 = 13:38pm, 13:42pm

15/11/2023 = 13:21pm, 23:01pm, 23:30pm

16/11/2023 = 08:03am, 11:24am, 18:34pm, 20:24pm, 23:27pm, 23:47pm, 23:56pm

17/11/2023 = 22:04pm, 22:52pm, 22:58pm

18/11/2023 = 17:01pm, 17:51pm, 23:43pm

These are the times I've noticed the drops but i know there have been other times.

As i work from home 4 days a week its getting beyond frustrating now!

Anyone else having this problem?

Regards

Steve

provided you don't have digital voice have you checked phone line for noise - dial 17070 option 2 should be silent

have you tried connecting to the test socket with a filter to see if that makes a more stable connection?

Many thanks for replying. I've tried both to no avail. Line is silent and still drops with a filter.

if line silent and test socket does not help then you need to phone CS 03301234150 and report fault and get openreach visit

Looks very similar to the problem I'm having. Dropouts lasting 30 seconds to a few minutes. Seemingly no pattern to when they happen. One, two, three times a day. I can see it in my log: "PPP LCP Send Termination Request [User request]".

I've ordered a new RJ11 cable and bought a very cheap phone. Sounds dumb but I read someone explaining about oxidation and how having a landline plugged in can help with something called a "wet current".

Will see if doing seemingly random things like this will improve the situation. If not, I'll invent a new dance.
