    <description>&lt;P class="lia-align-center"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="lia-align-center"&gt;&lt;U&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;FINAL&amp;nbsp; UPDATE&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Just to wrap up the thread, here's what happened-&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I didn't ring back to re-order Full Fibre BB, but it said in Track my Order-- "Sorry we had to cancel your order. We'll be in touch"&amp;nbsp; Yeah, sure.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;True to their word, BT texted the very next day to say they would be phoning me from Dundee.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Spoke to a really helpful operator who apologised and said the mess-up was all caused by an internal error on their systems. I put in another Full Fibre order for a engineer visit in early January.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Openreach visit was confirmed in Track my Order that same day, and I was contacted by BT to make sure everything was going to plan. I was sent many reminders of installation in the weeks leading up to installation day.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;EE- Smart Hub 2 was delivered. (SH20A -2023)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The guys arrived on time, and they worked really hard, non-stop, until the job was finished.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The fibre comes in through the copper line ducting, there isn't any trunking or boxes outside the house. The CSP is in the hall, it's about the size of a bicycle puncture repair box. I lost my phone line in that process, but I was able to plug my DECT landline into the hub&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-- It didn't work, totally dead.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Phoned BT and they said I hadn't been transferred to Digital Voice, even though I was now Full Fibre &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":disappointed_face:"&gt;😞&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;He rushed a DV order through for me and also posted me a DV adapter so I could have my house phone back where it was before, not upstairs beside the hub. All that happened within three days.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That's it, everything is working.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you to all who helped and commented.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Happy to answer any questions.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Folks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Current setup-- 50mb FTTC via Smarthub and use BT Advance landline phones using master socket.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've ordered Full Fibre and it's due to be installed in a couple of weeks. In most of the stuff I've read, it says the Openreach installer will replace the Master Socket with the ONT.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Am I correct in thinking that this applies ONLY to Digital Voice customers, and the Master Socket will remain untouched for those who are not yet DV enabled?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The ONT doesn't replace the master socket. It is a completely separate device. The master socket is usually left in situ regardless of being redundant. You will almost certainly be transferred to Digital Voice when FTTP is provided. You will need a Smart Hub 2 in any case in order to provide a WAN port. One will be delivered nearer the time.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for the very quick reply!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That's one thing less to worry about , now I can concentrate on all the other worries--&amp;nbsp; like do I have enough power sockets, will he mind having to dig a trench through my garden, will my house phone still work after installation etc &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Neither Digital Voice nor Smarthub2 were mentioned during the order phonecall , so I'm thinking that DV won't be offered anytime soon.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks again for your help!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Dig a Trench.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If your existing line is Direct in Ground and a Dig is required to provide either Gabacom from a Toby Box or Duct56 to a Joint Footway Box then you really should’ve had a 2 Step Installation.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Dig/Duct would be done as part of the Step 1 Process.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If it hasn’t I can guarantee it’ll not be done on the Step 2.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for the reply&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I didn't know what a Toby Box was, but now I've looked it up and Yes, the street is already kitted out with those from another provider&amp;nbsp; (V)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is my problem with the install, there's no advance notice of what will happen on the day, or how difficult it will be.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do they pull the fibre through the existing underground (copper)connection or do they make their own slit in the garden. I have no way of knowing. I certainly wasn't asked what kind of install was needed and I wouldn't have known the answer anyway. Just have to wait and see, I suppose &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":disappointed_face:"&gt;😞&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;EDIT Other people in the street have Fibre. there was no digging up the road involved.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Thank you for that. Other installs seem to be to a BT manhole-style cabinet. All services in the street are underground and run along the front metre of property (the service strip)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There is no previous OR ducting, just the landline, but I’ve no idea whereabouts in the garden it actually runs to the service strip. I’m still hoping it’s a pull through installation &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks again&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;When was the property built ?…….a rough guide , housing up until the 1960’s , mainly overhead , I’m sure you would know if your house had a dropwire from a pole so probably not that , 1960s-1980’s pretty good chance it’s underground but not ducted , so excavating from the footpath to the house wall is required , this was up until recently a ‘new’ Openreach toby box outside the property ( done before you can order ) and a excavation to the house through the garden , but latterly no toby box and the excavation is from the joint box directly to the house wall , housing from 1990’s to date , already served by a underground duct .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Obviously there can be exceptions, the link provided should show how Openreach regard your address , it also shows if it’s a single stage or KCI2 ( 2 stage ) installation&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>So your property apparently is already fully ducted , there is no reason to suspect this duct is not serviceable so barring any unforeseen issues ( like the duct is blocked ) a fibre cable can be installed alongside the existing copper cable with one install visit sufficient to get your FTTP provided.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Another two weeks to wait!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;500&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I already have a Smarthub for my current package (50mb fibre to cabinet ) but I was not offered a Smarthub2. They are basically the same as far as I can tell ,but the Smarthub doesn’t have a phone socket… hence my original question. I’ve never had letters, postcards, emails about Digital Voice. &amp;nbsp;Track My Order doesn’t mention Digital Voice. &amp;nbsp;I don’t think DV is being offered to me just yet &amp;nbsp;, they would have given me a bit of advance warning… I hope.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;I did ask about getting a SH2 when I was ordering the FullFibre but the agent told me there was “ no option to order one “ ?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;In my case the ONT was placed where i wanted it and the master socket remained in situ, I did not transfer to digital voice, I expected that too but my phone is still on the old copper line for now.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

The reply is "&lt;SPAN&gt;The number entered is not eligible for this offer"&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
