My broadband has been slow lately and I have noticed the overhead telephone cable seems to be touching the overhead electric cable, would this effect my broadband speed? I know this will need sorting but was wondering whether to contact BT or Openreach first.

Is it physically touching?

When I was a CST I lost count of how many times I thought a cable was in contact with a DNO’s cable when looking at it from ground level but then when I was 11m up a Pole you realise it was just false perspective and the cables actually had at least 1/2m clearance from each other.
