FTTP installation ducted from pole

Hi all,

I'm trying to have Fttp installed and encountering a few issues so wanted to confirm the best steps. I have a single pole on my property fed underground from openreach ducting. Their cable ascends the pole and terminates and then my current copper line descends immediately into ducting and through into my property. The pole serves no other property. Is it possible that fttp could be installed without the need for the pole at all and just passed through existing ducting or does it need to terminate somewhere before coming into the property?

There's doesn't seem to be a vast amount of space within the ducting so not sure if fibre would have to replace copper or they could go together.

Thanks for help

Welcome to this user forum for BT Residential phone and broadband customers.

Is this any help https://www.openreach.com/help-and-support/full-fibre-broadband-installation-checklist

The fibre would normally replace the copper, the same routing.

Yes there's a joint box right next to base of the pole in the pavement. Thanks

Providing its at least the size of a JB2 there’s no reason they couldn’t fit a 4 Port CBT in there and then get rid of the Pole altogether.

This is of course all guess, I’d need to see it to be sure to be sure.
