I would expect that the Openreach Field Technician would check at the cabinet first, as a bad connection there, is quite common.

If you are fed from a pole, then its possible they would check there.

That is assuming Openreach do not send a third party contractor to visit you, and take a first look by checking at your test socket for noise, then passing any fault to Openreach.

Quiet line test noisy, how do I report?

So I have been experiencing disconnects to my smart hub 2 every 2-3 days. Have FTC only 54mps download speed. Just done a quiet line test and there are electrical interference sounds/clicks/pops on it at regular intervals - what's the mechanism to report to BT ?

Report it as a noise on phone calls, no need to mention the broadband issue.

Once the noise fault is fixed, the broadband should stabilise.

Many thanks, engineer visit booked. Looking forward to seeing his face when he sees all my mad audiophile cables and power supplies near the router, it always raises an eyebrow 🙂
