Actually for some reason this was also a concern for me, the way the video and paperwork presents it is like you must have a power socket and that perhaps you arent allow to use an extension lead, at least thats how I took it.

But actually MJ Quinn didnt care, the ONT went directly the other side of the CSP and I powered the ONT from an extension strip, then I felt stupid for even wondering if that was okay.

How close does the double power socket have to be for full fibre to the premises, it says close but how close.

The Power Cord for the ONT is 1/2m long if that.

The one for the Hub is longer.

Nothing to stop you using a Power Extension Cable though.

Hi thanks do you mean a power extension cable or one that extends the adaper cable like 2.1mm x 5.5mm DC Power Male to Female 12 Volt Power Extension Cable

Either. Although a mains extension lead will be simpler to source.

Sorry, I don't have FTTP so not sure of the sizes or even if all manufacturers models are the same. You are right about the hub having non standard dimensions.

Offers come and go, thats life. Why do you think the ONT can't be placed near power sockets? It has nothing to do with where your present copper Master socket is if that what was you were thinking.

Not necessarily, thecable can be run on the outside to where you need the ONT and enter the propety there.
