You may find it unacceptable , but the repair service level agreement is what it is , and is what your agreement states , and it’s better than many other ISPs , weekends don’t count , and the day of the report doesn’t count , so two working days is Monday and Tuesday, so Wednesday is the target repair, so you are likely to be waiting 5 days only if you are ( incorrectly ) counting the weekend, it’s really only 2 days.
FYI , the date quoted is only the date at which compensation becomes claimable, it doesn’t mean Openreach wait until Wednesday before they look at this , it may well be repaired sooner .

TBH , you probably pay somewhere between £1 a day and £1.50 for your broadband, and get a guarantee of restoration within 2 working days , that is pretty good , and if a repair isn’t made within that timeframe, daily compensation of around 8 times the daily rental cost is generous.

You need to have a backup arrangement in place, perhaps a 4G router?

Uninterrupted service is not guaranteed.

Have you tried re-booting your hub (turning it off then back on)?
If that doesn't work you could then try a factory reset by pressing and holding for a few seconds the recessed button at the rear.
