Hi, hoping for advice.

i stay in a flat that has copper broadband with no notice to when full fibre is available "in my area"

In my street 3/4 closes have full fibre and get all the benefits. i am first floor, both ground floor neighbours have either full or partial fibre, when i ask bt im told im wrong and that isnt the case.

My understanding is you need an upgraded exchange in the flat for fibre.

Anyone in a similar circumstance or know how to proceed?

Thanks

It may well be the neighbours have FTTC ( partial fibre ) which would usually be available to you as well , but if the ‘cabinet’ is ‘waiting list’ there are no spare ports available so you can’t order FTTC until a port becomes spare

The DSL wholesale checker ( link already provided ) will show if this is the case , the column under SoGEA will show waiting list or available, if waiting list , there are no spare ports, enter your address and post the results

If there is already Full Fibre on the street then the 9 flats would’ve been included within the PON’s Capacity.

As it’s 9 THP it’ll be classed as a, Reactive Build so you just need to place an Order for FTTP, which will trigger the build.

Obviously the Installation Process takes a lot longer as it needs to be done in 3 Phases

1. Network Good to Go.

2. Internal Build.

3. Customer Installation.
