EE Smart hub plus low wifi speed

Hi,

I've just been "upgraded " to EE full fibre broadband with an EE Smart Hub Plus. The broadband speed is excellent (900+) but the wifi speed to devices is rubbish at less than 40 ( 35 or 36 on my phone and similar on my laptop). I took the option of changing the wifi address to my BT hub address to save changing the codes and passwords of all my devices ( cameras, phones, computers, TV etc etc ) could this be part of the issue?
I've looked through the hub manager and can't see anything I can change though.

I've also looked through the EE community board but can't get it to register properly),

Any ideas?

changing new router SSID to that of previous BT router should not affect your connection/download speed

as a EE broadband customer you need to post on the EE community https://community.ee.co.uk/
