    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.bt.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/345610"&gt;@Bully268&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Could possibly be an issue with the ethernet cable connection as if not all 8 wires connect properly you'll be down to 100mbs. My grandson had the same issue a few weeks ago and reseating the cable resolved it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Try a different cable.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>3rd Party Router and slow speeds</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, i’m hoping someone can help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have been using a Unifi Dream Machine Pro in place of the BT home hub for a couple of years now with no issues getting full speeds all the time no issues at all.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Now within the past few weeks my Speed seems to be limited to around 90mbs down, if i plug the home hub back in the speed will then be working at full capacity once again. i can even then disconnect the home hub and plug the Unifi router back in to ONT and that will work at full speed for a few days to a week then out of no where it starts limiting the download speed once again, so i have to rinse and repeat this whole process.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Has anyone else had similar issues or know how to prevent this from happening.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I’m currently on the FTTP 900mb package.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks in advance&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Nothing to do with the cable I use the same cable to connect to the BT Hub and the speed goes up to 900mbs use that same cable to connect back to the other router and it will stay at 900mbs for a few days. Thanks for the reply though.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>If your ISP supplied router doesn’t display this type of behaviour, it’s clearly your own router that has the issue so you need to start a dialogue with the router manufacturer to see if this is a widespread problem or effectively just you ….hopefully your question isn’t really ‘why is my ISP doing this to me ‘</description>
