FTTP doesn't come from the cabinet.

Are you a BT customer?

If so, call customer services and ask them to raise an ORDI (Openreach Database Integrity) request.

The maximum package I can get is 67mbp, whereas my nieghbour is getting over 1000mbp!! We are all served by the same cabinet too, so Im not sure why i cant get the FTTP

Do I contact BT for them to send an engineer out? I am really confused and chased this matter with confusing answers

Here are the broadband checker results for my property

and here is the broadband checker for my neighbour!

any help or advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks

What type of MDU do you live in , a purpose built one , or a converted house (or similar) ?

If a conventional ‘block of flats’ type MDU , generally the copper pairs served underground, not from a pole , the existing cabling entering the building from outside to a common point (like a basement or utilities area ) and internal distribution installed by the builder into each unit , then the usual way these are upgraded to FTTP by Openreach is after the appropriate permissions etc are obtained, the entire building is block wired , and a FTTP access point left outside each address , so when an order is made , the only cabling necessary is from the block outside the ‘flat’ to inside the individual unit …so is there a new FTTP block outside your door , and importantly is there one outside the neighbours door who can order FTTP ?

Is there anything unusual about your address compared to the other addresses in your ‘block’ that can get FTTP , like your address has a suffix or prefix, something like you are 13A , when the other addresses are just numbers, 11 ,12 13 etc , or your address is known as something like Flat A , but the others are not prefixed this way , often it’s the address data that causes problems not the physical connection, but if the address can’t be matched , no availability will be shown .

If your MDU is a converted house or a quite small MDU , often local authority built , where a small number of units exist in each block , say 2-6 units , then the block wiring approach wouldn’t be used, in what way is your neighbour and your address linked , for example you are next door neighbours, or you ground floor them immediately above , or you are both in the same corridor , provide some details to the proximity of them and you
