I doubt you will be contacted by BT. Use the checker I posted and select the package you want, ensuring you are signed on as an existing customer and it will give you the option to regrade broadband.

Accidentally I noticed that full fibre has become available in my area, Aren't BT supposed to let me know and upgrade me free of charge?

I haven't heard from BT yet and I still have the original home hub. I don't know if it works with full fibre

Are you sure it is available to your address or is it just a general announcement from Openreach that it is in your "area"?

Use the following link to see what is available to you

Best BT Broadband Deals For September 2025 | £0 activation fee

yes, it's available, it shows all the deals, before only up to 74mbps (what I have in fibre2) now all the way to 900mbps

I had check before and the checker said not until late 2026 or so , I was surprised that now it's available but no word from BT yet (unless it's only recent and they haven't had the chance to contact customers? )

It’s not an automatic change to FTTP once it’s available, you could be contacted to ask if you are interested and if you are the upgrade put in place ( this will start a new minimum term ) or you are at liberty to arrange a change to FTTP yourself ….the only way you may get an pseudo automatic upgrade is if you are not yet on BTDV , and BT/Openreach combine the two events together, so basically BT you are being moved to BTDV and can get moved onto FTTP at the same time if you want ( although it’s presented as a fait accompli, it isn’t you could reject the FTTP part ) …if you are already on DV , that won’t happen and it seems you want FTTP so you’re not likely to reject an offer like that

Just call BT or see if you can upgrade online as already suggested.

That confirms what you already knew , that FTTP is available, something odd is it shows a business dwelling rather than residential….if you are a business the process may be different, this forum is a consumer one , you may want to check out the business forum, if you are residential in a business dwelling or the checker is wrong and it’s a residential dwelling and you want FTTP , call BT and arrange it , if you are waiting to be contacted, there is no compulsion on BT to do that , so you may have quite a wait

OK , that explains the business marker …but as stated many times , want to get FTTP from BT , give them a call , don’t wait for them to contact you as it may never happen
