Smart Hub2 set up

I’m just moving to BT for fibre. When my router arrives this week to set up, can I change the SSID and passcode to match that of the router provided by my previous supplier.

reason is I’ve got systems connected wirelessly to my existing router and I’m not quite sure how to map them to a new router (solar system/garage doors/alarm/ring devices etc). It would be just easy to stick to the current values on the router.

Yes, you can change SSID and password to that of your old router.

Yes.

It is easy to do by logging on to the Smarthub2 admin pages.

If you get the Smarthub before the day of your change over you can change it then so that it is ready to go as soon as your connection starts.

Thanks, all done successfully. Currently running at 500 speed vs 900 contracted. Lets hope it gets wound up above the 700 guarantee in the next few days
