If your current analogue landline service is with BT and you now order a Broadband Only package you will lose your landline service.
If digital voice is being offered with a full fibre service, then that is the only "landline" service that BT is offering you.
If you're currently getting your broadband service via fibre to the cabinet, or the older ADSL copper all the way to the exchange service, and you have your landline as part of that, then the only way to keep that is not to re-contract with BT, but instead let your service roll over to an "out of contract" month by month one.
But be aware that, sooner or later, you will be required to take up a digital voice landline service, because the old PSTN equipment at the exchanges is life-expired and being retired.

Performance across my area should be 74%(3), 78%(Vodafone), 80%(O2), 82%(EE). No signal with EE although texts get through to me occasionally, slightly better with O2. Haven't tried others. Have chased up with EE but remains unresolved. Think I'm just in a bit of a black hole.

My mobile is PAYG. I've never bothered with a contract.

Hey @MillyMollyMandy1.

Welcome to the BT Community!

As a few of the others have mentioned, if you were move over to Full Fibre then the only landline option for you would be Digital Voice.

You can still use any existing phone you have with this though, you just plug it into the green port on the back of your Hub instead of your traditional BT socket.

If you went for a broadband only option, there is one other option that could provide you with a better mobile service.

It'll depend on whether you have a compatible mobile, but if you were to switch to an EE SIM Only or pay monthly contract, you can use WiFi calling.

This uses your home WiFi connection to carry your calls and texts in place of the normal mobile signal, and allows you to stay connected in places where the mobile service may be patchy.

You don't change how you actually use your phone though, it all just works in the background.

A helpful reply but I would comment that, if the OP wants to keep an analogue landline so calls can still be made in a power cut, WiFi calling won't be any help, because that relies on a broadband connection just as digital voice does.
Of course, sooner or later, EVERYONE will have to accept digital voice as analogue landlines are being retired, and then the sole means of keeping the ability to make calls in a power cut is battery backup of your router/hub and of your ONT if you have full fibre.

Being out of contract is the only way that the OP can keep her analogue landline phone - for now at least.
If she enters into any new contract for either FTTP or FTTC, BT will most likely insist she has her landline changed to digital voice.
So the higher out of contract bills are the price to be paid for keeping an analogue landline.
But sooner or later, BT will insist the change is made to DV and that's when taking out a new contract would be the best thing to do.
