OK I have adsl via a Under ground feed. This terminate on extenal wall and is then appears as telephone wall socket on the opposite wall of my kitchen. So their is a mettalic cable under my kitchen floor. If I was to go fibre where would place the fibre access without taking my floor up.

and the 3 letter acronym is alive and well. And the wall ties surrounding the Master.Running on scirting would need the kitchen dismantelling ,so no go.

Did you watch the video , it’s pretty self explanatory, ONT ( optical network termination , the small powered wall mounted unit in the video ) , if you want that in the kitchen but that will be impractical to locate it there , then obviously don’t order FTTP

No, they won’t lift floorboards.

The cable will go externally where possible but if must it’ll go up and over skirting boards and doorframes.
