Yes, you can do that. I recommend you use the fastest TP Link device available.

Any if these will suffice, they are virtually plug and play.

https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/powerline/tl-pa717-kit/

https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/powerline/tl-pa9020p-kit/

https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/powerline/tl-pa8010p-kit/

Just be aware that that particular connection is technically outside of your network. (The WAN connection is part of the outside world). You can use the powerline adapters for that but you cannot use them for internal network traffic, (LAN traffic), at the same time.

Whilst it will probably 'work', it's not something I'd personally recommend, especially if you're on a higher speed FTTP package.

In my experience Powerline can be intermittently flaky, and by inserting it between your hub and the ONT box, you're subjecting your entire network to any problems it may introduce.

Speeds across Powerline are also highly dependent on the quality of your electrical wiring e.g. let's say your wiring is only good enough for a ~250mbps Powerline link and you have a 500mbps fibre product. By putting the Powerline link on the WAN interface, no device in your home would be able to achieve more than 250mbps.

YMMV of course, just be mindful it might not be plain sailing.
