Looking at the type of addresses that are presented in that postcode , it would appear pretty rural, and to illustrate a worst case example (for the consumer that is ) imagine a telegraph pole lined country lane , with the occasional ‘farm track’ leading potentially 100’s of metres to relatively isolated dwellings at the end of that farm track, that are currently served by underground directly buried armoured cable.
The FTTP ‘network’ is provided to the nearest existing pole on the public road close to the entrance of the ‘farm tracks’ and the property shows availability, the occupant orders FTTP .

Clearly service can’t be provided immediately as significant work is needed to cross the ‘gap’ between the public road and remote building …..Openreach come out to survey and state a contribution towards the significant expenditure needed to do this final ‘drop’ to that remote dwelling is required , this could be a sizeable amount ……many will be unaware that FTTP isn't provided without regard to ECC (excess construction costs) and for some simply showing availability isn't as straightforward as they may wish .
