1. BT doesn't use CGNAT, you get your own address.

3. Yes, but there's nothing much you can change.

4. Yes, as long as you don't want phone capability. BT Digital Voice is only accessible via the BT hubs.

Thinking of changing to BT Full Fibre 900 from my FTTP Provider and got some questions

Hi,

I am currently with Sky FTTP and am having NAT issue which appear to be linked to there MAP-T and sharing of IPs, so am looking at signing up to BT Full Fibre 900, but have some questions before I decide.

1. Does BT do a similar thing to Sky with the sharing of IPs, between multiple customers or would each customer get their own IP?

2. As a gamer, having a Open NAT is something I am looking for, however, I know on some devices, this is not possible like the PS5?

3. Does the BT Hub allow you to access and change advanced settings directly via a web browser page, or do you have to use a mobile app for some settings?

4. Am I able to replace the BT Hub with my own router, if I wish to?

Thanks

As I've just said, you don't need the app unless you want use parental controls. Everything else is via the web interface.

About the only things you can do is change WiFi SSID and password and fix WiFi channel. The BT hubs are intended for mass market plug and play customers.

You can change LAN IP range and also disable DHCP if you use your own DHCP server such as a Raspberry pi.

Port forwarding and DMZ capability are available via the web interface also.
