Physically removing the FTTC infrastructure once an area is completely covered with FTTP isn’t a priority, and even if an area achieves 75% FTTP penetration, so no new copper based orders can be raised , there will be some existing FTTC customers that are reluctant to move to FTTP so the FTTC ‘cabinets’ etc will be in place for a long time .
Any reason for asking , if you are concerned that FTTC will be removed before everyone has FTTP fitted , that’s not going to happen, eventually there may be a day when refuseniks who won’t take FTTP when it’s available and are holding up copper cable recovery (and FTTC cessation) may be cut off , but that’s many years away , potentially decades away .
