Thank you for all that. I obviously don't know what equipment I have!

At first I just couldn't identify the Hub. Typing 192.168.1.254 into the address bar doesn't seem to work - I tried three different browsers. Eventually I found a page that described in some detail the characteristics of the various Hubs.

To cut a long story short, it seems what I have now is in fact a Smart Hub 2. Only this and Smart Hub 3 apparently have digital voice - and I do.

I know I used to have a Hub 6 (Smart or otherwise), but I have obviously been upgraded.

I should therefore be all right to have Full Fibre installed.

Thanks to all who replied.

Hi, Openreach are coming in 13 days to "migrate" us from BT Halo 3 to Fibre with Halo 3 (which I am told will be Full Fibre).

When I look at my order details, all it says under "Equipment" is "C to P Welcome Package" (whatever that is).

I have a BT Smart Hub 6 with just the 4 yellow sockets which, I understand, is not suitable as it does not possess a red Wan socket. I have had no conformation that I will be receiving a replacement Hub.

Is there any way I can find out, preferably without wating with a phone pressed to my ear for 30 minutes plus? Can I chase this up online or is there an email I can send to someone?

Thanks.

The "welcome package" is the different cable for the FTTP connection which will connect to one of the ethernet ports on the hub that the engineer will convert to a WAN port

It's actually possible that your Hub6 (I don't think it was called a Smarthub) won't have the ability to have one of its ports converted to a WAN port. Although some Hub6s had this ability, this was normally identified by a red marker above one of the yellow ports.
If yours doesn't have this, BT will probably supply you with a Smarthub 2 or maybe a Smarthub 3 before the migration to FTTP takes place.
The "C to P" welcome pack is just shorthand for FTTC to FTTP.
