Family sim only deals

I have a BT mobile sim only deal incorporated into my BT account. I am interested in moving to the Family sim only deal of 2 4GB sim cards at 14 per month, the second one would be for my son. Would he be allowed to keep his old mobile number if he switches?

He would need a PAC from his current provider to port the number from that network to BT, it can be done when you order or in the future, choose when suits you.

Thanks very much for prompt reply/explanation, I did think that may be the case, just wanted confirmation before I parted with my brass!
