I want to know why I have to pass a credit check in order to get a mobile contract with BT. I have been with BT for years and my bills have always been payed on time. I have never missed a payment. BT give you broadband, which is far more expensive than a mobile contract, which costs £12 per month. That's simply ridiculous. I am not concerned about the credit check, incidentally, because I passed one with Vodafone. I am simply wondering why this is the procedure with BT. Sounds very strange to me that you can have been a customer for years and have to have a credit check in order to get a mobile phone contract. In fact, I regard it as being ludicrous in the extreme!
