Network connection issues abroad

Unable to get SMS in my BT mobile whilst abroad in India. I have a dual sim Samsung A50 mobile and it is unable to connect to network in India.

do you have international roaming turned on in MYBT? if so have you set the spend limit to greater than £0 say £5

Thanks for your response. I somehow managed to connect to BT in India via AirTel network this morning.
My dual Sim is AirTel ( India)+ BT UK Sim.
Unfortunately both connect to the same AirTel here.
So I did AirTel connection to 4G and BT to 3G and it worked.
