Using a BT sim in the Canary Islands

I am currently in The canaries. I have tried to use my iphone but it won’t work. I have a Sim only plan. I have enabled mobile data and then data roaming but I cannot get a signal anywhere. Being older I presume I am doing something simple wrong but would appreciate some advice. I have an iPhone 11 if that makes a difference?

Make sure you set the international spend limit to greater than £0 say £5 or more.

But I thought you can use your usual free messaging and unlimited calls abroad. I usually have 2GB of data and unlimited calls and texts per month.

You still need to have more than a zero limit otherwise it won't work.

@Lacemaker no. You may also need to enable roaming in MyBT
