Thank you Keith, my stress is over. I'm 84, been with BT for 61 years and was thinking of leaving because they were giving me the runaround.

People like you are angels from the big mobile sky (no pun intended). God bless you.

Last week I had an SMS message from BT telling me my old 3G mobile ‘phone would not work in January 2024. I spoke to someone who offered me a ridiculously high deal which I declined.

I have, today, bought a 4G compatible mobile but in Settings > Connections > Mobile networks, the Network mode says ‘LTE/3G/2G (auto connect). A lady from BT told me to change it to 4G but there is no option to change to 4G.

My question is will my mobile work properly

Yes it will, LTE is 4G and 5G. LTE (Long Term Evolution)

It will auto connect to the fastest available network, just leave it like that.

2G is basically for calls, but LTE can also handle calls (VoLTE), if your phone has that option.
