I have been digging deeper and I think NHS Notify uses this, possibly provided by Slybroadcast.

"Ringless voicemail" ?

My Moto G82 has proved to be an excellent phone for voice calls over BT Mobile, with clear reception and fast response.

However in the past couple of months I've been having missed call alerts directing me to check my 1571 voicemail, despite the phone NOT having rung for those particular calls – which are all from telemarketing numbers (I've checked). Sometimes there's a message (funeral arrangements company), sometimes not.

I've since found a there's a telemarketing technique called "ringless voicemail", which seems to be quite acceptable in the USA. Is this perhaps what I've been subject to over here in the UK? Anyone else having similar issues?

Did you ever find out any more about this please. I think our doctor's surgery is doing this.
