Mobile use in the carbean

we are both on Bt mobile with roam like home but as we are going to the Caribbean this won’t be much use. I have looked on the Bt site but can’t find much information about bolt ons for this part of the world

Hi @Cselvidge1956,

There are no add-on's covering the Caribbean unfortunately. You can find the costs of using your phone whilst there by going to our tariff guide here BT_PhoneTariff_Residential.pdf and then select BT Mobile then Roaming Charges. It will show which zone each country belongs to and how much using your phone in that zone will cost.

What I do….

- Turn off mobile data completely. However leave Airplane mode off so you can receive calls and texts, but don’t make any yourself away from WiFi locations unless it’s an emergency.

- Use Wi-Fi only for apps and internet surfing - most resorts have good coverage. Then use Skype to make calls / texts home over Wi-Fi (either to other Skype users, or add some credit to make normal phone calls).
