      <title>BT refusing/unable to close my account</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi BT Community,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am reaching out in the hope that someone can assist me with a long-standing issue I have been facing with BT. For over four months, I have been trying to close my account, but despite providing my new service provider with the STAC code, BT has refused to close my account due to various "technicalities."&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Every month, I have contacted BT, only to be given a different excuse for why my account cannot be closed. These excuses have included claims of an open order on my account (which I have never placed or received) and the need to complete paperwork to close this open order. I have had email communications with the BT customer service team, saying that they have completed the paperwork and will be able to close my account in 48/72 hours but this has not been actioned in weeks!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thus, despite multiple assurances from BT representatives that my account would be closed, I continue to receive bills.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am extremely frustrated and seek urgent assistance to close my account and stop any further billing. This situation has caused me significant stress and inconvenience, and I am hoping someone from BT can help resolve this matter promptly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you in advance for your help.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
