Recording freeview.

I believe this is a recurring problem but haven't seen it in regard to BBC1 /2 (freeview) etc.

Pressing record when episode 1 of the new series (The News Reader) finished and episode two started (they were back to back) and the box only recorded half of the second show!! Is this the same problem as already posted by many, or something completely different?

We’d got The Newsreader on series link. We watched the first episode and found that the second episode was completely blank, but didn’t have a failed to record message attached to it. We had to watch the second one on iPlayer.

Thanks Bruce, we did get a "recording stopped", or some such message (from memory!). and yes we did catch up on (i).

This happens quite often, and it's very frustrating, not knowing why.

It’s almost unheard of for us to have problems recording Freeview. I took the precaution of cancelling the series link for this programme and re-setting it again for this week.
