BT Sport App without a BT Account

I am a Sky customer and just added BT Sport to my TV package. I had assumed I could use the BT Sport app but I am struggling to get into it.

I've created a BT account and have an account number but when I try to create a BT ID it says my account number doesn't exist.

I don't have a BT phone line either so cannot use my land-line number to register.

I am aware that I can view BT Sport via the Sky Go app but I much prefer the BT Sport App and my 4K tv has a BT Sport app so I would prefer to login using that!

Help!

You can only access the BT Sport app if you subscribe directly through BT
