Tv/big sport add on.

I have recently upgraded my BT broadband package to include the big sport bundle, was to be activated yesterday. Discovery +\tnt sports is working fine but I cannot get Now Tv to work. I have logged in but it’s asking me to pay for sports which should be included. Any suggestions would be helpful. Can’t get speaking to someone on the orders number to ask.

One thing I would suggest is to make sure you are not on the HD channel if you don't have that add on for instance TNT sports 1 SD is 408 and HD is 430

If you get a press on to add press OK and it may load through

If both of those fail I would go into the EEV player (not the EETV app) and go into the settings in there and do a refresh player data and that should update everything.

Failing that you would need to call BT and get them to check the package is as you are expecting it to be

Unfortunately nothing seems to work Now tv is looking me to pay for the sports subscription even though I’ve purchased through BT. Can’t get through to anyone in orders at BT to talk to about it, unless I want to wait for 45 minutes on the phone.

@Megrathg Which device are you trying to watch on? You say that you’ve logged in. I don’t understand why that would be necessary unless you’re trying to watch via the NOW app on another device such as a tablet. I’m not suggesting that you’ve done anything wrong as the subscription probably hasn’t been set up properly by BT/EE.

If you are watching on your TV box and after those steps it is still asking you to pay there is likely something wrong with your subscription. If you can get logged into your online account you can check orders there and if it looks OK you can try a factory reset (will loose recordings and sign out of all apps) but if the order is not correct that won't help.

You can text HELP to 61998 and someone will call you back and they will work out if it is an order or technical issue

Ive got the recordable tv box which came with the big sports bundle, which I’ve tried to access now/sky sports on and it’s says that I need to add it to my package which it won’t let me do. Discovery+/tnt sports works fine once I’d activated and logged in. But nothing is working for Now, it’s obviously not been activated, I used links that BT sent to log into Now but they just reset my password and ask me to pay for a sports package. I’ve also tried it through apps on fire stick and same problem, discovery/tnt works fine through app on firestick but not Now tv.

If you try to use the NOW app on the tv box it should be logged in automatically by detecting your broadband line and Big Sport subscription. Everything that you’ve told us suggests that the subscription has not been set up properly.

Do the channels for sky sports work on the box If they do not and you have followed my steps above then the package is not correct and needs fixing by speaking to BT

If the channels works the app on the box is expected to work as it's just the same

If the box works and you cannot watch on a different device then you are either logging in with a different email address than BT have for NOW or the email on BTs end is incorrect and BT will need to update

None of the channels on the box work I have to go into the apps to get the programmes on the box, all indications are that it hasn’t been setup right by BT, I’m just going to keep trying them until I can speak to someone. It’s very frustrating as it should be simple and more frustrating because I can’t get hold of anyone on the phone at BT. I appreciate the help from everyone. I’ll update if I get a solution.

None of the channels work at all or do you just mean the Sky Sports channels?

Sorry, bbc/itv etc work without going into apps, tnt sport I have to go into app and now tv I go into app and well, its telling me I have no subscription.

So you’re able to watch both Sky Sports and TNT Sports via the respective apps? Do you know how to do a software update on the box? It’s worth a try and won’t do any damage so long as you don’t do it if you’re recording something.

I can only watch tnt sports via the app, sky sports was through NOW which is telling me I haven’t got a subscription to watch, so put simply I can’t watch sky sports channels even though it’s part of my big sport add on.

Tried a software update as well and didn’t help. The issue seems to be BT hasn’t informed Now Tv that I have a subscription for sports.

Ok, I’m afraid I’m out of ideas now. Someone from BT/EE definitely needs to take a look at your account to see what’s happened there. It could be that BT/EE haven’t set it up properly or possibly the problem is at Sky’s end. I hope you get it resolved soon.
