NOW TV is not linked to email.

Good afternoon.

I'm attempting to activate my NOW TV account, as included in my new EE TV & BT Broadband package.

However, my account email address has not been associated with a NOW TV account.

NOW TV Support has confirmed that no record of my email exists.

I telephoned BT support today and spent a long time on hold. The customer service agent said there had been a "technical glitch" and that it was fixed and to wait an hour before reattempt.

Unfortunately the problem persists: I am still unable to activate my new NOW TV account.

No emails are sent to me when I try to reset password; I have checked the Spam folder too.

BACKGROUND NOTES:

- This email address has not been previously linked to a NOW TV account.

- I am awaiting BT broadband installation & activation, but understand NOW TV can be registered and used right away via apps etc.

- I have been able to activate all other EE TV packages with the same email. The issue is just with the NOW TV package.

- I searched for previous answers to this problem and solutions included a customer service agent making spelling corrections and/or re-entering the account email and re-linking it with NOW TV.

@chachacha Have you tried to use the NOW app on your tv box, and if so what happens?

Edit: Ignore. If you have no broadband your equipment may not have arrived yet either, so that’s not going to be any use.

Hi @chachacha

Welcome to the community.

There is a chance that it could be linked to you not having the equipment and it not being activated, but if our guides have mentioned a 'technical glitch', I would have thought that this would be something they would have checked.

The best thing I can suggest would be to contact the team again so they can access your account and make sure everything is set up as it should be and offer further help from there.

Thank you for the replies. BT have since unexpectedly cancelled my order due to a technical fault unrelated to this issue. Please feel free to close / remove this thread.

Have the team given any further information on the technical fault, such as when it will be rectified and when the order can be put through again?
